As an early adopter of social media and a person who is quite passionate and comfortable speaking on emerging topics to live and “on-air” audiences, I have been approached by many of the Cincinnati media outlets over the years to share my expertise. Some of the media opportunities were Q&A sessions about upcoming social media seminars I was presenting, while others were expert interviews looking for my opinion about a particular facet of a social media platform, for example privacy issues on Facebook. The most enjoyable media stints have been my many turns on National Public Radio Station WNKU with morning news anchor, Cheri Lawson. Over the years we have covered lots of trending social media topics. I’d have to say my most challenging was being a guest on radio station 700WLW on the Eddie & Tracy Show to talk about the infamous Notre Dame football player Manti T’eo and his online romance hoax. Eddie & Tracy love to steer the conversation in “certain” directions which of course is par for their brand and great for ratings.  It was a dance to stay on topic, but I survived! It turned out to be a great show!

I have also appeared in print in CincyChic, Cincinnati Business Courier, Cincinnati Enquirer, and am a co-author of a social media book, Age of Conversation 3 (Publisher: Channel V Books April, 2010). Additionally, I have had the privilege to host two long-standing series produced by AC-TV: Trustee Talk which is a monthly interview show with the Anderson Township, Ohio Trustees and Digitally Speaking with co-host Mark Macomber which is a talk show focusing on the latest topics in social media. Both shows appear on local programming via Warner Cable and on YouTube.
I am a creative writer of short stories, fiction, and poetry with a nearly completed novel under my belt  just waiting for an ending. I have been a long time member of the Cincinnati writing group, Women Writing for (a) Change and have read my work on the radio at WVXU and in public readings in Cincinnati and Washington, D.C..
